THE LEe wendell
Day after day, owner and chef Kirby’s father’s father, Lee Wendell Farmer, was dedicated to his career and providing for his family, first in banking and then in insurance. He was the first person in his small community to set-up drive-through banking. But his heart was happiest fishing the Little Niangua River and tending to his huge garden. He was the first person to inspire Kirby to pick up a fly-rod and fall in love with fly fishing and with food. Lee Wendell loved curing country hams and giving them to his best clients, but his favorite of all moments were undoubtedly spent around the Farmer family table with his five children and beloved wife Abigail.
So, in honor of this great man, perhaps hang your coat and your hat for a cozy stay in this third floor suite. It’s the perfect place to take a break, think on what (and who) you love most, and how to cultivate inspiration in your life and in theirs.
